2010 Tour de France: Stage 19 Bordeaux to Paulliac

July 25, 2010

Cancellara has the fastest time at 1:00:56. That’s no surprise. Once again, I have to watch this on Versus. I’m not impressed. Too bad Eurosport takes so much time before I can watch the coverage, otherwise, I’d watch it there. Summeren slipped and fell because of a skipped gear at the start of the TT. Tony Martin is 17″ back. Grabsch is 1:49 later.

Lance Armstrong isn’t going very fast. At the 1st time check, Contador’s lead in the GC is only 2″. He’s riding slower than Schleck, which is very surprising. When Contador gets near the 2nd time check, Contador has added 2″ to his time. For some reason, I see Contador constantly slipping off his slick saddle. Every two seconds, he’s got to move himself back. Sanchez is moving off the podium from 3rd place to 5th.

Contador now has 13″ on Schleck. At the 2nd time check, Schleck goes through at 46:52. Contador comes through at 46:46. Hesjedal is riding a good TT. Gesink finishes at 1:09:29. Menchov finishes at 1:04:47. Van de Broeck was caught and past by Menchov. He finishes at 1:08.

At the 3rd check, Schleck is at 58:49 while Contador is at 58:32. Sanchez finishes at 1:06:47. Schleck finishes at 1:07:10. Contador finishes at 1:06:39 and with this, clinches his 3rd win of the TdF.

In the GC, Contador is 39″ ahead of Schleck and 2:01 ahead of Menchov. Sanchez is at 3:40, Van den Broeck is at 6:54, Gesink is at 9:31, Hesjedal is at 10:15 at 10th. Petacchi has got 10 pts on Hushovd and 16 on Cavendish.
